Sunday’s farm tours are a wonderful way for Dames from both the Big Island and Oahu to socialize and network while enjoying the hospitality of some of our Big Island Dames. This is a unique opportunity to meet and learn more about Dames from both Island’s after attending the Escoffier Dinner at the Fairmont Orchid.
Big Island Bees Farm & Museum Tour/Tasting: 11:00 am - 1:00 pmDame Whendi GradLocation: Captain CookAddress: to follow after member sign-up
Dame Wendy and her husband Garnett are not just producing honey, they are beekeepers and this is a remarkable opportunity to hear
Garnett, a 4th generation beekeeper, speak about beekeeping and some off his incredible apiculture, a collaboration between Garnett and the bees in creating beeswax sculptures. Garnett is not the only artist in the family. Whendi also has an art degree and if you have every noticed the beautiful artwork on the labels of their honey jars, it is Dame Whendi’s art you see. Come for a pleasant way to end our weekend together and Whendi says: “bring your bathing suit and go for a swim in the bay, it’s wonderful down here!”
